After passing a background check, I got approved to volunteer with the new Austin Quints when they come home from the hospital. The Jones Quints were born on Jan. 16th. The largest weighed 2lbs 13 oz and the littlest weighed 2lb 3oz .
Brooklyn Faith, Britton Grace, Jack William, Lila Addison, and Ryan Elizabeth are healthy ( as they can be at 30 weeks) and 2 are breathing on their own, and the other 3 are on a CPAP machine. ( My mom uses one too, it helps to carry oxygen into the lungs).
Of course when I sent my background check in, I also told them that I have been a nanny for 18 years, I work for the largest Nanny Agency in Austin ( which only hires 9% of the nannies they interview), I am Night Nanny and Infant Specialist certified, CPR & First Aid certified, have been a nanny to newborn preemie twins, and volunteered with the Cedar Park quints last year.
The quints probably won't be home till late March early April, but it's never too early to start looking for help. Please pray that the babies can continue growing and doing well. Pray that the mom can get back to normal and that she will be able to go home soon. Also, please pray for their little girl who is 4. Pray that she will soak everything in, and will not feel left out.
